The Potter Project ...
Wes Potter's '65 Ford Galaxie, that I call the "Potter Project" made its debut at the Goodguys Southeastern Nationals in October. This bad ass Galaxie with 572 cubes of Al Tunes big block Ford is a beast for sure. The NHRA block engine puts out over 850 horses, with over 900 ft/lbs of torque. The car features a Chassis Engineering Mustang II style front clip with engine set back about 12 inches, Wilwood brakes all around, custom headers by Billy Valitzski and really cool sounding super low profile mufflers that we designed and built in house. Bob Hill did the super comfortable interior in red tweed.

The Goodguys Southeastern Nationals at Lowes Motor Speedway, was Wes Potter's first ever major car show event and he was rewarded with a Goodguys pro pick.

In January, Wes hauled his car to the Atlanta Word of Wheels show, where he walked away with two awards. Way to go to go Wes! Additionally, Summit Racing Equipment asked to have the car featured in their display at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals at Atalnta Dragway in April.

The Raker Roadster...
The Don Raker Roadster is complete and upon making its debut at the Goodguys Northeast Nationals, Don grabbed a Street Rodder Magazine Top Ten award and the mags were all over it. He also won a Goodguys award at their Southeast Nationals event. Be sure to check out the gallery for the Raker Roadster....

Breaking the rules...
I'm a sucker for Modifieds...Normally I don't so side jobs, but my buddy, and sometimes collaborator; Bill Valitzsky fabbed a Gremlin body for a Southern Ground Pounders Racing Club modified and it needed to be painted. So, of course I said yes! The SGPRC has a nostalgic modified series, in which modern NASCAR modifieds are fitted with old tin such as coupes, sedans, etc. Then they turn them loose with real wheel to wheel racing! Cool stuff. The #14 here is perhaps the meanest looking Gremlin bodied Modified ever built. It's painted Richie Evans orange and pearl white. Here are a a few pics of Larry Glessner's bad ride.

Da Bomb Reloaded... I've been wanting to re-do Da Bomb for some time now. With a couple of weeks to do it; I ripped it apart for a face lift. Not really any changes to the car, just new paint, new headers and soon; a new and more spacious interior. Now it's off to Bob Hill's interior shop for some new threads.

LA Special makes it to California!
One of my early builds surfaced on the HAMB and I was able to make the aquaintence of the owner. This was my first hot rod build. Here's what Cruzr had to say about the car...

I have never met Rich in person, have spoke with him on the phone though. I own one of his creations also, the first one he did I think. That was back in 97 I believe when he built it. I drive the shit outa this little 24 track T. I have changed a few things ,but the car looks basically as he built it and when it was featured in Street Rodder. Rich has the talent and patience to turn out winning cars time after time it seems.
